Vienna's history, from prehistory to the present, is documented in the Historical Museum of the City of Vienna. Displays in this multi-level structure include artifacts from Roman times, architectural fragments and stained glass windows from medieval buildings, old engravings and city plans, objects from the Wiener Werkstätte arts and craft studio, and the reconstructed rooms of architect Adolf Loos and poet Franz Grillparzer, whose furnishings are representative of the Biedermeier style.
